Becker-Heidmann, P., Scharpenseel, H.-W. (1990): Effects of radioactive radiation caused by man. – In: Låg, J. (Hg.): Geomedicine, S. 171–184. CRC Press, Boca Raton, Fla
Principal relations between radioactive radiation an its impact on human health are described with references to actual and past contaminations, for ex. by the Chernobyl nuclear reactor accident. Emphasis is put on the biogeochemical pathways of the most important radioisotopes from their different sources through the global compartments to their possible sinks, and the probably growing implications for the future of mankind were scribed.
